Gary Gehling

Gary Gehling
Gary has been in the building industry for over 25 years. He spent 5 years in a sawmill as lumber grader. Inspecting over 20 million board feet per year gave him a unique perspective on the forces that allowed a particular tree to become what it was. It also shaped his views on what properties of the wood make it suitable for a particular use. This led Gary to become a general contractor in home building.

After 15 years of designing and building homes, Gary specialized in kitchen design and cabinet and furniture building. He is also the owner of small sawmill and gains his inspiration from the beauty found within the logs he saws. He has been strongly influenced by R. Buckminster Fuller, Gustav Stickley, Green & Green, as well as the Shakers.
